Zoo To You
The Zoo To You outreach program is for groups within the
Phoenix Metro area. All of the program topics we offer can
be adapted for any age level or group. Use an outreach
program to introduce, reinforce, or culminate your classroom
curriculum.
Fee:
• $180 - $200 for the first program hour depending on
distance from the Zoo (minimum of one hour)
• $150 for each additional instructor or hour; $75 for an
additional half-hour
• Additional presentations can be booked at a discounted
price
Duration: A minimum of 60 minutes
Availability: Can be scheduled any day
Group Size: Maximum of 75 students per interactive
presentation; schedule additional presentation for larger
groups

Other Notes:
• Preschool programs will be split into two thirty minute
presentations with a maximum of 37 students per half-hour.

Animal Kingdom: Experience the wide variety of the animal
kingdom with the Phoenix Zoo. From fur to feathers, scales
to exoskeletons, discover the amazing characteristics of the
animal world. (Recommended for grades PreK-2)

Creepy Crawlies: Venture into the world of slimy, creepy, scaley or even scary creatures. Learn how these "creepy"
animals are beneficial to plants, animals and even their
environment! See for yourself that these animals aren't as
"creepy" as you thought! (Recommended for grades PreK-2)

Desert Connections: From the blistering sun to the scorching
sand, discover how animals have adapted to live in this
environment. Presentation includes discussions about
camouflage, nocturnal vs. diurnal, habitats, food and water
conservation. (Recommended for grades 3-5)

Predator/Prey: Explore the wild animal survival kit. Learn
about the many ways animals eat and avoid being eaten!
Discover adaptations like the silent flight of the owl,
snake scales, prickly spines of a hedgehog, and other
fascinating survival tactics. (Recommended for grades 3-5)

CSI: Critter Scene Investigation: Calling all animal
detectives … Help us investigate the clues that animals
leave behind. Whether you’re an expert biologist conducting
research or just an amateur wildlife watcher, tracks, scat,
feathers, fur, and lots of other evidence found at a
“critter-scene” can be revealing and helpful. Can you crack
the case?

Rainforest Adventure: Discover the ways in which humans
depend on the rainforests in their everyday lives. We’ll
learn about the characteristics of tropical rainforests,
including stratification and the biodiversity of plant and
animal species that exist in this unique environment.
