POLICIES & PARKING
ZooLights animal viewing:
The majority of our animals are not nocturnal, therefore most will be off display during ZooLights. Animals off exhibit at night is not exclusive to ZooLights – this is their normal routine. Only a few exhibits will have low lighting for possible sightings such as zebra, flamingo and javalina. We hope that you will return to the Zoo for a daytime visit to see all of our animals in a whole new light!
Zoo and ZooLights hours:
• During the ZooLights season, the Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. November 7 through
January 6, 2008. The Zoo reopens at 6 p.m. for ZooLights.
• Beginning January 7, 2008 the Zoo will go back to its regular daytime hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• The Zoo is closed December 25 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. when it reopens for ZooLights.
• ZooLights is open every evening November 22 through January 6, 2008 including
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas night and New Year's Eve.
Best time to visit ZooLights:
The least crowded nights to attend are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday the first two weeks of December and the first week of January. Weekend attendance increases the 2nd weekend of December. Many people come at 6 p.m., so an alternative would be to arrive around 7:30 or 8 p.m. after the first wave of visitors have left.
ZooLights ticket information:
• As with the majority of other ticketed events, ZooLights tickets are non-refundable for any
reason.
• All tickets have a barcode that admit one person.
• Photocopies will not scan and will be confiscated.
• Tickets may not be resold.
• Tickets are not dated giving you a choice to attend any night of ZooLights.
• If you pre-purchased tickets but are unable to attend, please consider giving them as gifts for
friends and family.
• Tickets not used in 2007/08 may not be used the following year.
• We hope that you will be pleased to know that your ticket purchase supports the Phoenix Zoo, a non profit organization that receives no operational funding from the city or any public source.
ZooLights Parking information:
• The Phoenix Zoo parking lot is city-owned, not Zoo-owned.
• Park ONLY in designated parking spaces.
• If you park illegally, tickets will be issued or your car could be towed.
• The Zoo is not liable for parking tickets received by ZooLights visitors who park illegally.
• During busy nights when the Zoo lots become full, police and electronic sign boards will direct drivers to the Phoenix Municipal parking lot where you can board a courtesy ZooLights shuttle bus. The bus drops you off and picks you up in front of the Zoo. There is no charge for parking at either lot or for the shuttle.
Daytime Zoo admission:
Admission for adults is $14. Admission for children ages 3 to 12 is $6. Admission for seniors ages 60 and above is $9. Ages 2 and under are free.

Extending a daytime visit into ZooLights:
Daytime Zoo visitors may not stay on Zoo grounds after the 4 p.m. closing in order to attend ZooLights. Daytime visitors can purchase ZooLights tickets for that night at the advance ticket price, but they will need to leave Zoo grounds at 4 p.m. and return at 6 p.m. for the general public opening.
Zoo memberships:
You can join at Member Services located at the Zoo entrance or online.
New Year's Eve:
Sorry, there are no fireworks New Year's Eve; the Zoo closes at 10:00 p.m.
