  ZOOMATION ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM SCHEDULE

NIGHTLY FEATURES:

Projection Hollow Gallery Art – Previously submitted art and videos from people around the valley will be digitally displayed along Projection Hollow Road as well as on fluorescent light boxes displayed on oversized easels along pathways.
Blooming Copper Tree - Matt Weber of Della Terra Studios will let everyone hand-craft individual copper leaves that can be added to the blooming copper tree - watch it grow throughout Zoomation.
Shadow Puppet Theatre - David Freleng’s shadow puppetry brings the world of theatre to kids and adults in a way that lets their creativity and imagination run rampant!
Antenna Music – Create your own music without touching anything. The instrument called a Theremin uses antennas to control pitch and volume.
Video Magic – See yourself on the big screen in a spring-filled video through the magic of the green screen technique.
The Bufo Bayou – It’s the Year of the Frog, so venture into the Zoomation frog bayou where musician, Jeff Jones, will let guests create a chorus of nature and frog sound effects.
Explosive Art! – Beginning Saturday, March 15 through the end of the event, guests can express themselves using paint combined with music as they create a piece of art in less than 6 minutes.
Legoland Field of Flowers – Create a field of flowers out of Lego bricks from LEGOLAND California.  
Live Animal Presentation – 8:30 each evening, come to the Enchanted Forest amphitheatre for a personal visit with live animals.

Wednesday, March 12

  • 7:30 p.m. Robert Shields / Main Stage: World renowned master mime and storyteller will appear opening night with a fast-paced, 45 minute show using masks, mime and storytelling. He has guests creatively express their natural animal instincts!
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. / Main Plaza: Professional chalk artist, Suzi Logan.

Thursday, March 13

  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. / Main Plaza: Professional chalk artist, Suzi Logan.
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. FreshiFilms/ Main Plaza: The staff of FreshiFilms will put digital cameras in the hands of kids 8 – 18 and allow them hands-on experience in film making. The films made during Zoomation will be edited for content and length and posted on the Zoomation website at a later date.
  • 6:45 & 7:30 p.m. The Nature of Photography / Main Plaza: A professional photographer will be on site to offer tips and advice on how to express your feelings of spring and nature through the lens of a camera. Bring your camera.
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. Heard Museum / Upper Lakeside: Children’s art activities.

Friday, March 14

  • 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Musikaleidoscope / Zebra overlook: Celebrating the music of spring and nature through sound exploration. Includes song writing, instrument playing, drumming circles, improvisational singing and more.
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. / Main Plaza: Professional chalk artist, Suzi Logan.
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. FreshiFilms/ Main Plaza: The staff of FreshiFilms will put digital cameras in the hands of kids 8 – 18 and allow them hands-on experience in film making. The films they make at Zoomation can be accessed on the Zoomation website at a later date.
  • 6:30 – 9 p.m. Valley Youth Theatre: Interactive improv theatre for kids.
  • 6:45 & 7:30 p.m. The Nature of Photography / Main Plaza: A professional photographer will be on site to offer tips and advice on how to express your feelings of spring and nature through the lens of a camera. Bring your camera.
  • 6:30 – 10 p.m. Heard Museum / Upper Lakeside: Children’s art activities.

Saturday, March 15

  • 7:20 p.m. Art Explosion / Main Stage: Internationally renowned artist Michael Ostaski combines performance art and music using only hands and a few simple brushes, to create a 6’ by 7’ work of art in less than 8 minutes! Thirty minutes prior to his performance he interacts with kids.
