The Phoenix Zoo is home to over 1,200 animals representing more than 200 species. Our animals hail from diverse regions, from the Arizona desert to the lush tropics of Colombia and Indonesia.

If you've got questions about our animals, you've come to the right place. Look through the different sections below for information for school reports and additional resources. Please understand that the Zoo cannot provide medical advice for animals or your pets. If you think your pet is sick, make an appointment with a veterinarian right away.
