The Phoenix Zoo is home to more than 1,300 animals including 200 endangered species and participates in 37 Species Survival Plans (SSPs) to breed and maintain endangered species populations in captivity.
If you've got questions about our animals, you've come to the right place. Look through the different sections below for information for school reports and additional resources. Please understand that the Zoo cannot provide medical advice for animals or your pets. If you think your pet is sick, make an appointment with a veterinarian right away.
