October 1 ZooLights tickets are on sale!
Visit the Phoenix Zoo website at phoenixzoo.org to purchase your ZooLights tickets early! ZooLights begins November 25th and runs until January 9th from 6- 10 p.m. nightly.
October 3 Grand Opening of Koalas!
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The general public is welcome to attend the Grand Opening for the Zoo’s two newest residents from down under! Join us as we welcome Kobi and Sooky to the community of Phoenix and to their new habitat. The koalas will be in Phoenix until the end of March.

October 9 Fisher-Price® Breakfast at Harmony Farm
7 – 8:30 a.m. Come have breakfast with Dora the Explorer at the Phoenix Zoo's Harmony Farm! A Continental Breakfast will be served from 7-8 a.m. in the School House with outdoor seating available throughout the farm. The morning will be filled with lots of fun – photo opportunities with Dora and playtime with the newest toys from Fisher-Price®. Plus, interactive animal themed activities set up for kids and parents to explore together and visits from some of our favorite farm animals.

October 9 & 10 Fisher-Price® Play Weekend
9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Join us for Fisher-Price fun at the Phoenix Zoo's Harmony Farm. It's ideal for kids 6 and under, and a roaring good time for all! Check out the super-sized play area with the coolest new Fisher-Price® toys. Take a spin on the Power Wheels® driving track. Enjoy interactive fun with 3D movies, Dance Star Mickey dance stage, and more! PLUS, special guest appearances: Dora the Explorer and Bigfoot the Monster!

October 15, 16 & 17 Breakfast with Wild Warthogs
8 – 9 a.m. Do you know what a Warthog loves to eat for breakfast? Find out at this unique event. Kids and parents will also receive a light breakfast as they learn about these incredible pigs! Kids will explore a variety of warthog themed games and activities; learning what makes these animals so special. Guests will also help prepare a special treat and then deliver it right to our Warthogs for their breakfast. It’s always a wild time with our wonderful Warthogs!

October 23 & 24 Boo! at the Zoo
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. It's a Pumpkin Palooza! Explore Harmony Farm as it's transformed into a fall-festival including games and activities!
Watch elephants, tortoises, monkeys and other animals enjoy pumpkins and other treats during the Pumpkin Stomp and Chomp throughout the Zoo! Meet your favorite community mascots at our Mascot Meet and Greet in the school house. Find your way through our Fall Festival Maze, home to friendly scarecrows. Plus look for fun and festive photo opportunities in our Pumpkin Patch and around Harmony Farm!

October 29 & 30
6:30 – 11:00 p.m. Howl-O-Ween, Nature’s Nightmares
Join us for the scariest night of the year at the Phoenix Zoo! As the full moon rises and the howling begins, nature’s worst nightmares come out to play prey. Dare to come face to face with some of these terrifying creatures and experience other frightening encounters at the Phoenix Zoo’s wildest event, Howl-O-Ween!
Admission: Non-member: $8, Members: $6 Recommended for ages 8 and up.
October 29 & 30
6 p.m. until 9 a.m. Natures Nightmares Night Camp
Spend a WILD and Scary night at the Phoenix Zoo when you sleep over with Nature’s Nightmares….If you dare…. This overnight experience will get you up close and personal with the characters and haunts from the Zoo’s spookiest event. Enjoy a private train ride, a guided trip through the Howl-O-Ween haunts and activities, a barbeque dinner, creepy campfire stories, up-close creepy crawly animal encounters and late night lip-smacking s’mores. After your camp-out, enjoy a continental breakfast and then let your instructors give you the inside scoop about your favorite animals during a guided morning tour of the Zoo.
