ZooReach

ZooReach – an umbrella program under which the Phoenix Zoo provides a variety of educational encounters to underprivileged children. The Phoenix Zoo is a major educational resource for teacher and students throughout the Valley and the state. We offer our nature and science-based educational programs to all school children, regardless of socio-economic status through our very important ZooReach Sponsors. Sponsorships range from $5,000 to $45,000 and programs available for Sponsorship include:

Discounted Field Trip Admission Program
The natural curriculum provided by the Zoo's collection gives us a jumping off point for activities and learning experiences that tie students' interests directly into lesson plans for teachers to meet the Arizona State Academic Standards.
Night Camps
an interactive, educational, overnight adventure that includes close up interactions with animals, hands-on activities, night hikes, snacks, and breakfast.
Outreach Visits
Our Outreach program delivers educational and exciting animal presentations to schools within the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
HeadStart to Caregiving
In collaboration with Southwest Human Development, this program serves ten classes of HeadStart and Kindergarten children by providing interactive sessions at the Zoo's Harmony Farms and in their classrooms. The program provides developmentally appropriate opportunities for children to explore and interact with nature and to develop caring relationships between children, plants and animals.
