A special evening with Dr. Julie Swenson, the Phoenix Zoo’s new Veterinarian
Tuesday March 18, 2008

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Stone House Pavilion

When most people think of a zoo veterinarian, they think of someone who deals with a large collection of captive wildlife, working to maintain a healthy population for the zoo visitors to appreciate. However, most zoo veterinarians today see themselves as having a larger purpose than only routine health care for a captive population. Zoo veterinarians are becoming increasingly active in related fields, such as wildlife conservation and preventative medicine for both humans and animals. Dr. Swenson will give an informative presentation in the Stone House Pavilion.

Beer, wine, soda and light hors d’oeuvres will be available from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Please RSVP by March 12, 2008
The Joyce Corrigan Memorial Care Center has many needs. A gift card from a local pet store, or a cash gift for medically-related expenses, would be greatly appreciated.
