Have fun meeting new people and help the Zoo at the same time! The Phoenix Zoo’s premier annual support group, the Guardians, is made up of philanthropic individuals who are committed to animal conservation, education and the future of the Zoo. For people who would like to be even more connected to the Phoenix Zoo and our mission of connecting children and individuals with nature, the Guardian Club is the perfect way to show your support and get involved with the Zoo. The Guardians, the Zoo's premier support group, is made up of philanthropic individuals who are committed to animal conservation, education and the future of a financially strong Zoo.

History of Guardian Members
In the early 90’s, the Guardian Club was created for the growing number of dedicated and visionary Zoo donors. Through the years, the leadership role many of the members have assumed underscore their dedicated commitment to the Zoo, while providing annual gifts of unrestricted income for conservation, educational programs and general operating expenses. Annual membership dues range from $1,000 to $10,000 or more, and many members choose to provide additional support to a capital project or specific program.

Where Do Guardian Membership Contributions Go?
The Guardians membership club's contribution is critical to the Zoo's annual fund. Approximately 250 member households provide the Zoo with more than one million dollars through annual membership dollars, capital project funding and in-kind gifts. Guardian members experience a satisfying awareness of their impact on our community. They know that their commitment to the Zoo touch many lives, both animal and human.

Active Guardian Club members receive privileges that include:
-Unlimited daytime admission for family and guests
-Unlimited complimentary Safari Train and Carousel rides
-Tax-deductible (excluding a small percentage associated with direct benefits)
-Donor recognition on Zoo grounds
-Exclusive ZooLights dinner for Guardian members and their families
-Carted tour for up to seven people
-Invitations to exclusive Zoo previews, Black-Tie and Guardian events
-Guardian discount of 15% on rental of the Stone House Pavilion
-Exclusive quarterly Guardian newsletter
-Subscription to Wild Times Zoo publication
-Eight ZooLights admission tickets
-Two membership cards
-Invitation to the Arizona Zoological Society annual meeting
-Voting privileges in the Arizona Zoological Society
-Discount on gift shop purchases
-Discount on snack bar purchases
-Discount on strollers and wheelchairs
-Discount on additional ZooLights tickets
-Discount on Zoo programs and special events
