Wish list items for Conservation/Science- Spring 2010

  1. Unopened packages of brown paper lunch sacks- used for BE for Black-footed ferrets.
  2. Laminator- min 8”X10” capacity. Will be used for protecting area SOP’s posted outside, making cage labels for tadpole tanks etc….
  3. Digital gram scale- min 1000gm capacity. To be used for weighing snakes and frogs.
  4. New heavy weight washcloths- to be used for cleaning Black-footed ferret cages.
  5. Blender or food processor- used for making diet for the tadpoles.
  6. Rubbermaid storage shed- horizontal or vertical storage shed. Will be used to store equipment at the Lower Anuran Conservation Center.
  7. Digital Video Camera- will be used to document behaviors, research, frog releases, field work, etc….
  8. Heavy duty all weather extension cords- 6’ length or shorter. Used for raising tadpoles.
  9. Ten - 24 hour mechanical timer- must accept 3 prong plug. Used for raising tadpoles.
  10. Ten – Heavy duty power strips with surge protection. Used for raising tadpoles.
  11. Two- 1,000 lb. capacity polypropylene mover’s dolly. Used for moving large, fiberglass frog tanks.
  12. Two- pet carriers, size for cat or small dog. Must be new, to be used for transporting Black-footed ferrets.
  13. Gently used or new towels. To be used in all areas of the Conservation center.
  14. New, heavy duty, energy wise washer, dryer and side by side refrigerator/freezer for the new Black-footed ferret breeding center to be completed this summer.
