As one of America's major private, nonprofit zoological parks, the Phoenix Zoo depends heavily upon volunteers. They help us operate on a daily basis, serving in nearly every department within the Zoo. They also help us carry out our mission, interacting with our audience and communicating about the importance of animals and nature in general.

Adult volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience are needed to help with events, daily trail experiences, and week-end programs. ZooTeens are selected through an application-interview process as volunteers for special week-end activities that span 10 months.

Volunteers selflessly provide their time and expertise to benefit the Zoo and its collection of animals, and we couldn't do it without them!
