How to Become a Phoenix Zoo Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!  Phoenix Zoo volunteers not only help us succeed in meeting our mission but they also have a great experience too.  Our Volunteer Program offers professional development opportunities, fun social events, and many opportunities to learn about and get insider knowledge on Zoo and conservation activities.

 

 

Here’s How to Get Involved:

1. Read through the open positions below to determine what interests you most and submit an application.
   
   
2. A member of our Volunteer Management Team (VMT) will contact you to sign up for an Information Session where you’ll receive a greater understanding of the program and the position(s) you are interested in.
   
   
3. While at the information session, complete a Criminal History Background Check and submit your Volunteer Membership Fee of $35 Click Here
   
   
4. Upon clearance of your background check the area supervisor for your position of interest will contact you to get started.  Please note that some positions will require a short interview to ensure the position is the best fit.
