Why bike to the zoo?

FUN: With friends and family, or even by yourself, biking is fun!

HEALTH: Biking can reduce stress, improve brain performance, help prevent disease and control issues like attention deficit disorder.

It’s good for your cardiovascular and respiratory systems, and it’s a great way to burn calories!

SEE NATURE: Papago Park is full of native species that you can encounter up close on a bike.

FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE: Biking instead of driving reduces your carbon emissions.

SAVE MONEY: Traveling by bike instead of automobile can save you money on fuel, vehicle wear & tear or public transport fares.

Remember …

  • Dress weather appropriate and don’t forget sunscreen and water!
  • Share the way. Other cyclists, hikers and their pets use these paths as well.
  • Bring a bike lock and lock your bike at the racks near the front gate. For safety reasons, the Zoo does not allow bikes on grounds.
