night Camps
spend the night at the Phoenix Zoo!
Each night is prepared for a specific scout level and badge work. Camps consist of guided trail hikes, animal discoveries and educational activities. Our diverse offerings are suited to fit many needs and help girls accomplish specific badge requirements.
your own private camp? If your troop has a minimum of 35 participants, you also have the option to schedule a camp on the date of your choosing (based on availability). Contact us at outreach@phoenixzoo.org to find out more about our custom camps!
All Girl Scout Camps include a pizza dinner, healthy snack, and a souvenir water bottle. Overnight camps also include continental breakfast and admission to the Zoo the next day. During your program, you’ll enjoy guided trail hikes, ambassador animal encounters, and specific badge work activities/games alongside other troops. All Girl Scout camps have pre-set curriculum and locations listed below.

For all Camps:
- Group Size: Groups require one adult chaperone (at least 18 years of age) for each 10 children that attend.
- Dinner: Hungry Howie’s Pizza (included in the price of camp)

Daisy 3 Cheers for Animals
Saturday, 4/1/2023 from 6:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
At the Zoo, we love animals and we want to tell you all about how we care for them! Earn your Daisy petals, make new friends and learn some steps you can take to care for our world. Camp ends around 9:30pm, making it perfect for younger campers who prefer to sleep in their own beds.
Brownie Bugs
Saturday, 4/8/2023 at 6:15 p.m. until Sunday 4/9/2023 at 9 a.m.
Get ready to be amazed by these tiny animals and how important they are to our environment! See bugs in action, take a bug field trip and explore bug homes with us. Work together with other troops to complete most of the steps you need to earn your Bugs badge.
Sleeping Area: Neely Events and Education Center
- Climate-controlled classroom
- Sleeps up to 60 campers in partitioned sections
- The space will be shared with other troops
Junior Habitats
Saturday, 4/15/2023 at 6:15 p.m. until Sunday 4/16/2023 at 9 a.m.
Explore animal habitats around the world from right here at the Zoo! Observe animals’ natural behaviors, learn how the Zoo cares for them, and how YOU can make a difference.
Sleeping Area: Desert Tents
- Permanent concrete-floored canvas tents with ceiling fans
- Sleeps up to 60 campers in four separate tents
- The space will be shared with other troops
- Includes centralized outdoor fire pit (weather permitting)
Multi-Level Explorers
Friday, 4/21/2023 at 6:15 p.m. until Saturday, 4/22/2023 at 9 a.m.
Join our Night Camp Team as we work together to solve a mystery at the Zoo. Learn what it takes to navigate the Zoo after dark and be a courageous explorer! This special camp is appropriate for Brownie-Cadette levels.
