Our virtual Family ZooVenture programs bring the Phoenix Zoo’s animals to you in a whole new way. Connect with a live Zoo educator as we have fun while learning about the animals that call the Phoenix Zoo home. These 30 to 45-minute programs feature kid-friendly antics and activities including animals making music and getting squeaky clean, kids helping search for clues as Zoo detectives and creating a brand-new animal.
For children 3 – 6 years old. Each program covers a different topic with unique, kid-friendly activities. Virtual programs are held through Zoom. Join us!
This program is designed for households, not for larger groups. If you’re looking for programming for a larger youth/educational group (child care centers, camps, etc.), we have something special just for you! Check out Distance Learning or Ask a Zoo Expert.
For adult groups, corporate parties or team building, or any other non-academic group gathering check out our Phoenix Zoo: Live Online.

Calling all detectives and those who love mysteries! Something strange has happened at the Zoo. In this edition of Zoo Detective some palm fronds ended up in an unusual spot. Put on your detective hats as we look for clues and find the animal culprit.
In this program, kids will explore animal body features. Our Outreach Specialists will utilize a combination of live animals, captivating video and imagery, and interactive games. Ultimately, kids will work together to create their own imaginary animal as they develop an understanding of why various body features are essential for animal survival.
