Cruise ZooLights Tickets

  • Cruise ZooLights tickets and add-ons must be pre-purchased online in advance including food, beverage, photo and some retail options. Items in the Stop, Shop and Support Cruise Gift Shop may be purchased onsite on November 27 and 28.
  • All Cruise ZooLights tickets are subject to availability and date specific.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets will be available for sale online if not at capacity.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets are first come, first served beginning at 5:30 p.m.
  • Last Cruise ZooLights ticket sold at 9 p.m. online and last car in line at 9:30 p.m.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets are non-replaceable and non-refundable.

Rules of the Road

  • For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times. Riding in the back of a pickup truck is not permitted.
  • Remain in your vehicle during the entire tour.
  • Please turn your headlights off and turn on your parking lights.
  • Pull your side-view mirrors in toward your vehicle.
  • Follow the guided route. The speed limit is a tortoise-like 4 mph.
  • Do not shine bright lights into animal habitats and please note that items such as laser pointers and flashlights are not allowed.
  • Loud noises are not permitted, including honking, music and yelling.
  • The Zoo is a smoke-free facility, including electronic cigarettes.
  • Keep everything in your car and when you leave Zoo grounds, properly dispose of your waste in a trashcan or recycle container.
  • Vehicle size must be no larger than a full-size long bed truck. Max vehicle specs are: 266″ L x 81″ W x 74″ H.

Pick up delicious goodies to go including kettle corn, seasonal baked goods, cotton candy and more! Find unique Zoo souvenirs including shirts, mugs, magnets, plush toys, and masks. * Pose for a custom holiday photo with Santa, November 27 and 28. 

This pop-up shop, open on November 27 and 28, is in Lane 11 of the main parking lot as you exit Cruise ZooLights. Simply pull over in a designated parking spot to hop out and make those last-minute purchases to remember your unique drive-thru experience.

Santa Claus
is comin’ to town!

  • Celebrate the magic of the season with old Saint Nick at ZooLights!
    November 27 and 28 | 5:30 – 10:30 p.m. Santa will be in the Cruise Gift Shop on Cruise ZooLights nights only!
  • To make this Christmas both a magical and safe experience, Photogenic Inc. at the Phoenix Zoo will be doing the following:
    • Requiring daily temperature checks and health screenings for staff and Santa.
    • Providing enhanced cleaning.
    • Reducing physical contact.
    • Promoting a contactless Santa visit.
      • To maintain a safe social distance, Santa will be positioned 6 feet behind the individuals who are photographed.
    • Staging a mailbox for Santa’s letters to be hand-delivered to Santa. Staff will empty the mailbox nightly and give the letters to Santa.

Phoenix Zoo members are eligible to receive a discount. The discount is offered when purchasing tickets at phoenixzoo.org/zoolights.

Tickets are good for one (1) Cruise ZooLights. Guests may not return after exiting the Zoo on the same night without paying admission again. Tickets expire once guests exit the Zoo.

Face coverings will be required for anyone in the vehicle who is interacting with a Zoo staff member upon entry and throughout your cruise.

Yes. Guests must cruise through the Phoenix Zoo in the comfort of their own vehicle. Please remain one car length behind any vehicle that is directly in front of you. Passing is not permitted at any time.

We do not have rentals or shuttles available.

Yes, you may. For your safety while on Zoo grounds, doors MUST BE IN PLACE and closed at all times. All persons must be seated in the vehicle if the top is down.

No. For your safety, please be sure to comply with seatbelt and child restraint laws upon exiting the Zoo.

Yes, as long as guests remain seated at all times. Passing is not permitted at any time.

The animals are accustomed to seeing vehicles regularly – delivery trucks, construction equipment, etc. are a regular part of keeping the Phoenix Zoo running smoothly. Please refrain from honking, playing loud music or yelling.

No. This is a motorized vehicle experience.

Yes. You may bring your own food and drink to enjoy in your vehicle. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages.

No. Alcohol is not allowed on Zoo grounds. We reserve the right to escort guests off Zoo grounds if they are found to be disregarding our policies.

No. The only animals allowed to accompany guests are trained and vaccinated service animals.

Yes, trained and vaccinated service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted with visitors with disabilities. The Zoo follows AZA guidelines, which is for the protection of the animals. When a guest brings a services animal to Cruise ZooLights, a Park Ranger will review the Service Animals Rules with the guest. If you’d like, you can view a downloadable copy of our Service Animal Rules before your visit. Please call Park Rangers at 602-914-4356 with any questions.

Service animals (such as dogs) are trained to perform tasks for the benefit of individuals with physical or mental disabilities. This includes, but not limited to, guiding individuals who are blind, alerting those who are deaf, protecting individuals prone to seizures and various other tasks directly related to a disability. Pets and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans With Disabilities Act and Arizona state law. Therefore, pets are not permitted inside the Phoenix Zoo. All service animals will be vetted by a Park Ranger. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Portable units are available prior to entry in the parking lot. Once inside the Zoo, due to traffic and social distancing guidelines, restrooms will not be readily available. Please notify a Zoo staff member if an emergency occurs.

ZooLights is not an animal viewing event. Most animals are resting comfortably in their night houses. At times a few animals may be seen. Guests are not permitted to pet or feed them. We reserve the right to escort guests off Zoo grounds if they are found to be disregarding our policies.

Zoo Park Rangers will be available to assist guests with first aid. Please notify the nearest Zoo staff member if you are having an emergency.
