Join the Phoenix Zoo in celebrating the splendor of animals and nature with Art on the Wild Side, a program dedicated to inspiration, celebration and conservation through art. Exhibits in our Savanna Gallery and Wild Side Gallery rotate throughout the year, each featuring a selection of artists who share their unique vision of wildlife and conservation via photography, paint and mixed media, allowing new ways for guests to engage in the Zoo’s mission to care for the natural world while being inspired by nature and animals.

In Your WILDEST Dreams invites guests to step into a vibrant and imaginative world where creativity meets conservation. This captivating exhibit showcases the work of four exceptionally talented artists, each bringing their own unique vision to life. Through bold color palettes, whimsical depictions of animals and thought-provoking interpretations of nature, the exhibit sparks curiosity and wonder. From playful reimagining of wildlife to inspiring reflections on our relationship with the natural world, In Your WILDEST Dreams celebrates the beauty of animals and the importance of protecting them. This one-of-a-kind experience blends artistry with advocacy, encouraging guests to see conservation not only as a responsibility, but also as a source of joy, creativity and imagination.

The Phoenix Zoo is proud to announce its first exhibit of comic book art and other forms of graphic illustration featuring each artist's unique and bold interpretation of wildlife and the natural world.

The Phoenix Zoo is raffling off a signed limited-edition lithograph created by the one and only, Todd McFarlane.

This exclusive 3.5" X 5" lithograph was released in 2005, limited to only 500 copies, each personally hand-signed by Spawn creator, Todd McFarlane. This lithograph was originally inserted into the Spawn Special Limited-Edition Hardcover, making it an exceptionally rare collectible. A sought-after piece of McFarlane history for fans and serious collectors alike.

Raffle is open September 4 through January 25.

Recently renovated, the Wild Side gallery is a beautiful, air-conditioned, inspirational space with a covered courtyard on the Arizona trail and the soon to be completed Big Cats of Arizona exhibit.

Greet Zoo guests, share about our current exhibit and even assist at our special art openings, installations, and deinstalls.
