The Phoenix Zoo is excited to announce our transition to a cashless payment system. Transactions will now require a credit card, debit card or mobile payment option. This change helps make your Zoo visit smoother, faster and more secure. From admission to animal experiences, all transactions will now be completed using a credit card, debit card or mobile payment.*
Going cashless helps us improve your experience, minimizing time spent in lines and spending more time exploring the remarkable wildlife that makes the Phoenix Zoo so special.
No Card? No Problem!
We understand that not everyone may have a cashless payment option. That’s why we’re introducing cash-to-card kiosks throughout the Zoo. These kiosks are conveniently located at the front of the Zoo near the ticket windows, in Guest Services, as well as in the Savanna Grill. These kiosks allow you to easily convert cash into a prepaid Mastercard at no additional charge. You can use the card throughout the Zoo or anywhere Mastercard is accepted!
*Please note our third-party concession stands such as Savanna Grill, Java Jungle, Safari Snacks and Crossroads Cafe as well as our Plaza Marketplace gift shop and Photogenic will still accept cash.

“I don’t have a card – now what do I do?”
We get it! Not everyone has cards. We have three cash-to-card kiosks on Zoo grounds that you can use at the following locations: ticket windows, Guest Service Lobby and Savanna Grill.
What payment types are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
How much cash can I load onto the prepaid Mastercard?
You can load up to $1,000 onto one Mastercard prepaid debit card at a time. There is no minimum amount to issue a card.
Can I reload my prepaid card at the kiosks?
No, the prepaid cards are not reloadable. If you need more funds, you can simply load additional cash onto a new card at any kiosk free of charge.
Can my new pre-paid debit card be used other places besides the Zoo?
Yes, the card may be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
Do I need to provide any personal information to use the cash-to-card kiosks?
No, the kiosks do not require any personal information to load cash onto a prepaid Mastercard debit card.

1. Insert cash.
2. Receive prepaid Mastercard for use at any Zoo location.
