Edmontosaurus was a type of hadrosaurid, commonly known as duck-billed dinosaurs. It sported a broad beak filled with up to 1,000 sharp teeth used for tearing tough plants. Similar to most modern reptiles, lost teeth were constantly replaced over its lifetime. 

This species had exceptional hearing and eyesight and was quick on its feet for such a large animal. Despite these advantages, it often found itself as lunch for Tyrannosaurus rex.
