Carnotaurus’s most notable features were the two horns protruding from above its eyes, likely used for combat or as a mating display. Its tiny arms were vestigial, serving no apparent function, like a human tailbone. Carnotaurus consumed other dinosaurs, outrunning smaller prey with its long, muscular legs.

Its bite force was twice that of the strongest crocodilians (alligators, crocodiles, etc.) alive today, and skin impressions show it had armored scales much like those of crocodilians.
