Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis
“Wyoming’s thick-headed lizard”
At almost 10 inches thick, the skull of Pachycephalosaurus was about 20 times thicker than the average dinosaur’s. Featuring a rounded dome and a crown of spikes, it was probably used for display, defending against predators and in battles between males.
Many believe that Pachycephalosaurus males used their heads in ramming contests, like bighorn sheep. Others suggest that they swung their heads into their opponents, similar to male giraffes.

Diet: herbivore, possible omnivore
