Unlike its cousin Triceratops, Sinoceratops had only one horn on its snout and no protective horns over its eyes. However, it did have a huge six-foot skull that featured a massive frill adorned with decorative curved hornlets and bony nobs.

While the frill may have looked intimidating, it was most likely used as a display for attracting mates and intimidating rivals. It may also have been used to regulate body temperature by releasing heat as blood flowed through the frill’s thin tissues.
