  • Cruise ZooLights is closed to foot traffic.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets and add-ons must be pre-purchased online in advance including food, beverage, photo and some retail options.
  • All Cruise ZooLights tickets are subject to availability and date specific: November 29 & 30, December 6 & 7.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets are sold in two-hour time blocks. Cars in line are first come, first served.
  • All cars must be in line prior to 9:45 p.m. to be guaranteed entry.
  • Cruise ZooLights tickets are non-replaceable and non-refundable.

Rules of the road

  • For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times. Riding in the back of a pickup truck is not permitted. 
  • Remain in your vehicle during the entire tour.
  • Please turn your headlights off.
  • Pull your side-view mirrors in toward your vehicle.
  • Follow the guided route. The speed limit is a tortoise-like 4 mph.
  • Do not shine bright lights into animal habitats and please note that items such as laser pointers and flashlights are not allowed.
  • Loud noises are not permitted, including honking, music and yelling
  • The Zoo is a smoke-free facility, including electronic cigarettes.
  • Alcohol is not allowed on Zoo grounds.
  • Keep everything in your car and when you leave Zoo grounds, properly dispose of your waste in a trash can or recycle container.
  • Vehicle size must be no larger than a full-size long bed truck. Max vehicle specs are: 266″ L x 81″ W x 74″ H.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of ZooLights is a brand new display of illuminated paintings showing various endangered species. 

The Phoenix Zoo has partnered with artist, Russell Ronat, to present this special collection of beautiful, large mixed media paintings of endangered animals (known as Project Holocene) found throughout the ZooLights path. 

Ronat’s work is not only stunning, but it helps raise awareness on the importance of wildlife conservation. The goal of Project Holocene is to show both the beauty and fragility of many species that are currently under threat of extinction. 

The 13 illuminated pieces for ZooLights include an elephant, hawksbill sea turtle, Amur leopard, Bornean orangutan, wolf, Bali mynah, among others.
