This page will be updated regularly as the situation changes.

The time has come for the Phoenix Zoo to temporarily close. Along with many other institutions in the Valley, in concern for our staff, members, guests and community, and in line with the recommendations from the World Health Organization, the CDC, as well as other federal, state and local authorities the Phoenix Zoo will temporarily close effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice.

Be assured that we will be monitoring the evolving situation and will reevaluate this decision on a regular basis and reopen when appropriate.

All pre-purchased admission tickets will be honored when we reopen. Any information about refunds for programs, events and tours, please click here.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Zoo soon, but in the meantime, we are committed to upholding our mission of providing experiences that inspire and motivate people to care for the natural world. In order to do this, we’ve created the Phoenix Zoo Digital Safari featuring LIVE educational programming, virtual safaris and an abundance of cute photos and videos of animals, behind-the-scenes caretaking by our keepers, and in-depth stories of the Zoo and our amazing residents!
