Zoo Move & Groove will be taking place outside throughout Zoo grounds. The wide trails and expansive footprint, allow for plenty of room to spread out and distance from other flocks and herds. None of our Zoo Move & Groove elements are exclusively indoors and as such, participants will be able to social distance while experiencing the event. The safety of our guests, staff, volunteers and animals is our top priority. We’ve taken extra precautions to make this outdoor event enjoyable and safe for everyone.

  • We will be staggering the start of the Zoo Move & Groove 5K race to avoid overcrowding. Start times will allow approximately 3-5 minutes in between groups. Be assured your racing time does not begin until you run through the “starting line technology.”
  • There are several hand sanitizing stations throughout the race route for your safety.
  • Zoo employees and volunteers assisting with the event will be wearing masks at all times.
  • As a reminder, according to the CDC, you are less likely to be exposed to COVID-19 when you attend outdoor activities, stay at least 6 feet apart and limit the amount of time spent with people who don’t live with you.
